• QuarkXPress now renders layouts created in earlier versions of QuarkXPress and also the ones containing more than 300 EPS files within an acceptable amount of time.
• QuarkXPress now displays a proper blend gradation of color fidelity in the following scenario:
  1. You draw a picture box and apply a color blend.
  2. You choose File > Print > Output to display the available output options.
  3. You choose Composite CMYK from the Print Colors drop-down menu, 2400 (dpi) from the Resolution drop-down menu, and 175 (lpi) from the Frequency drop-down menu.
  4. You export the layout as a PDF (File > Export > Layout as PDF).
• When you open a layout that was created in an earlier version of QuarkXPress, QuarkXPress no longer converts colors in the Pantone® Process Coated color library into a CMYK color model.
• In a layout that contains many fonts (including Sandoll OpenType® fonts), QuarkXPress no longer replaces fonts used on a few pages of the layout with the Courier font when you export the layout as a PDF (File > Export > Layout as PDF).
• QuarkXPress now imports Microsoft® Excel® worksheet contents into a table within an acceptable amount of time when you check Link to external data in the Table Properties dialog box. Also, the application no longer changes the range of the data cells in the Microsoft Excel worksheet that you are importing.
• QuarkXPress now correctly imports all the date formats applied in Microsoft Excel worksheets.
• The value in the Position field is no longer selected when you click Apply in the Tabs tab in the Paragraph Attributes dialog box (Style > Tabs).
• Text in documents that were created in earlier versions of QuarkXPress no longer disappears when you double-click the Master page in the Page Layout palette and return to the pages in the document.
• Mac OS® only: QuarkXPress no longer requires an unreasonable amount of time to display the Usage dialog box (Utilities > Usage).
• Windows® only: QuarkXPress now loads within an acceptable amount of time even when more than 500 fonts are installed on your computer.
